PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an R-TM-B based permanent magnet which is suitable for smooth rotation in liquid and is superior in adhesiveness, by improving corrosion resistance for usage in the liquid than heretofore.
SOLUTION : The R-TM-B based permanent magnet is composed of a magnet body which contains R (R denotes at least one or more kinds of rare earth elements containing Y), TM (transition element whose main component is Fe), and B as main components and a resin layer formed on the surface of the R-TM-B based magnet body, and the resin layer is composed of first and second layers, where the first layer is a resin layer containing at least one element selected from Al, Si, Ti, and Sn, and the second layer is a fluororesin layer.
