简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a capacitor which is high in thermal shock resistance and hard to cause a crack. SOLUTION : A capacitor comprises a capacitor main body 5 including : a capacitance unit 9 which makes contribution to the development of an electrostatic capacitance and which is arranged by alternately laminating ceramic layers 1 and internal electrode layers 3; and a non-capacitance unit 11 which is disposed so as to surround the capacitance unit 9, which has a ceramic unit 11a including the same primary component as the ceramic layers 1, and which does not develop an electrostatic capacitance. The ceramic layer 1 and the ceramic unit 11a include a barium titanium oxide as a primary component, and a rare earth element as a subcomponent. The ceramic unit 11a that the non-capacitance unit 11 includes is lower than the ceramic layer 1 that the capacitance unit 9 includes in the concentration of a rare earth element contained therein. The difference between a porosity of the ceramic layers 1 that the capacitance unit 9 includes, and a porosity of the ceramic unit 11a that the non-capacitance unit 11 includes is 0.54% or less.
