简介 A method for preparing a high-strength brass-based coupling by means of powder metallurgy. The method comprises the following steps : powder mixing : mixing raw material powders of the following weight percentages in a mixer, and obtaining a mixed powder : 28-32% of a Zn element powder, 0.5-0.7% of a rare earth element powder, and the rest being a copper powder and unavoidable impurities; low temperature diffusion : low-temperature diffusing the evenly mixed powder in a diffusion furnace under a nitrogen gas protective atmosphere, to pre-alloy part of the metals; and conducting press forming, sintering, finishing, and oil immersion, to obtain the high-strength brass-based coupling manufactured by means of powder metallurgy. The present application resolves the technical problem of many variables existing in conventional machining processes, making it difficult to ensure consistency in size.
