PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high pressure discharge lamp having high light color of outgoing light, generating no break, having long life, having high optical efficiency, and having high brightness, to provide a high pressure discharge lamp device combining the high pressure discharge lamp with a reflecting mirror, and to provide a light source device also acting as a cooling mechanism using the high pressure discharge lamp and the high pressure discharge lamp device.SOLUTION : In a discharge lamp in which a pair of electrodes faced in a discharge vessel is arranged and 1.0×10-4-1.2×10-3 μm/mm3 bromine as a halogen, mercury, and rare gas are sealed, and when the strongest light intensity in the vicinity of about 546 nm wave length is represented by I1 and the lowest light intensity between the emission in the vicinity of about 546 nm and emission in the vicinity of about 577 nm is represented by I2 of mercury emission in stable lighting, the condition of formula 1 : 1.8≤I1/I2≤5.2 is satisfied, and when the outer diameter of the maximum diameter part of the discharge vessel is represented by D (mm), the thickness in the maximum diameter part of an arc tube is represented by t (nm), and the lamp electric power is represented by P(W), the conditions of the following formulas 2, 3 are satisfied. Formula 2 : 3.6×(P+30)/100≤D≤5.2×(P+65)/100 and formula 3 : 0.013×P≤t≤0.36×D. |
