PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth magnet powder producing apparatus and a heat treating apparatus therefor whereby the temp. at hydrogen treatment of a rare earth magnet raw material is stabilized to produce a high quality rare earth type magnet with little magnetic characteristic dispersion. SOLUTION : A rare earth magnet raw material 2 is equally held in reaction tubes 10. A hold tube 27 holding a dummy material 25 having the same compsn. as the material 2 is put near the tubes 10 and heated at about 800 deg.C by a heater 4 to occlude hydrogen by the material 2 to generate the heat while hydrogen is discharged from the dummy material 25 to absorb the heat, and then hydrogen occluded by the material 2 is discharged to absorb the heat while hydrogen is occluded by the material 25 to generate the heat. The exothermic and endothermic actions are apt to cancel out, thus suppressing a great temp. variation of the material 2. |
