PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for purifying (meth)acrylic acid and a (meth)acrylic ester by which an amine and/or a causative material of discoloration is sufficiently reduced by using an adsorbent; and to provide a method for recycling the absorbent used in the purification method.
SOLUTION : The method for purifying the (meth)acrylic acid comprises bringing the (meth)acrylic acid into contact with a rare earth metal silicate. The method for purifying the (meth)acrylic ester comprises bringing the (meth)acrylic ester into contact with the rare earth metal silicate. The method for recycling the rare earth metal silicate comprises heating the rare earth metal silicate used for the purification method at 200-400°C. |
