简介 PURPOSE : To heighter the high temp. hardness of an oilless metallic mold for forming a glass and to extend the service life. CONSTITUTION : An alloy for the glass forming metallic mold contains by wt.% Cu-Al-Cr-Fe base composed of 20-60% Cu, 4-12% Al, 4-20% Cr and further, one or more kinds among Ni : Al%×1-5, Ti : Al×0.5-2, V : Al%×0.2-1, Zr : Al%×0.1-0.3, Nb : Al%×0.1-0.3 as the Al base intermetallic compound, in which the hard phase is crystallized, and further, as selective elements, 0.02-1.0% one or more kinds among rare earth elements. In casting of the metallic mold alloy, after pouring the molten metal into a mold, this cast molten metal is slowly cooled from the solidification starting temp. to 50 deg.C at 10 deg.C/min cooling speed to produce the alloy for glass forming metallic mold.
