PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a precursor substance of a perovskite compound oxide capable of forming a perovskite compound oxide single phase even at a low treating temperature and to produce the perovskite compound oxide having a specific surface area.
SOLUTION : The method of producing the perovskite compound oxide comprises using, as the precursor substance, an amorphous substance containing a rare earth element R and a transition metal element T component at the content ratio required for producing the compound oxide, when the perovskite (RTO3) compound oxide phase is formed by heat treating the precursor substance that is a powdery starting material containing at least one rare earth element R and at least one transition metal element T. The obtained perovskite compound oxide has a specific surface area exceeding 10 m2/g. |
