PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a saline water resistance imparting method with respect to a rare earth-based permanent magnet, and to provide a rare earth-based permanent magnet superior in resistance to saline water.
SOLUTION : The saline water resistance imparting method to a rare earth-based permanent magnet is made to deposit and form an Al coated film, containing Mg of 3 to 10 wt% as a metal component other than Al on the surface. Accordingly, it is possible to impart superior saline water resistance to the rare earth-based permanent magnet, without deteriorating its magnetic characteristics. |
