PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a harmlessness treating method of soil on the ground contaminated with dioxin or PCB, or dioxin attached to sedimented earth in the sea, rivers or lakes.
SOLUTION : Soil to be treated 1 is charged into a treatment furnace 13 through charging ports 2-7 of exhaust structure for discharging contained air. The inside of the furnace 13 is heated up to 500°C or higher in a reducing atmosphere kept at a negative pressure to the extent of preventing leakage of gas to the outside of the furnace. The soil 1 to be treated is retained for 10 minutes or longer in the furnace 13 for thermal decomposition, then the cleaned earth 11 is discharged from discharge ports 8-10 of exhaust structure. The above processes are continuously conducted. |
