PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrodeless fluorescent lamp apparatus having a construction suitable for mass production and manufactured at cost lower than that of such sort of known former ones.
SOLUTION : This electrodeless fluorescent lamp apparatus comprises an electrodeless fluorescent lamp ELFL including a closed loop airtight container 1 having a pair of capillary tube chip off portions 1b and 1c formed with a space at opposite positions of a closed loop, a phosphor layer 3 formed on the whole of an inner surface of the closed loop airtight container 1 and a discharge medium containing rare gas enclosed in the closed loop airtight container 1 and vapor of a luminescence metal; an induction coil IC wound along the closed loop of the closed loop air tight container 1 of the electrodeless fluorescent lamp ELFL and disposed adjacent to the closed loop airtight container 1; and a high frequency AC power supply HGF for energizing the induction coil IC. The applying formation of the phosphor layer and gas discharge and enclosure can be done via a pair of capillary tubes 1b1 and 1c1. |
