PURPOSE : An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to improve picture quality by preventing the property of liquid crystal from being varied due to back light. CONSTITUTION : An LCD includes an LCD panel(102), a polarizer(142), and a back light unit. The LCD panel includes an upper substrate on which an upper array is formed and a lower substrate on which a lower array is formed. The polarizer is located under the LCD panel. The back light unit is located under the polarizer and emits light to the LCD panel. At least one of the lower substrate and the polarizer includes a rare earth element(150). The back light unit includes a light guide containing the rare earth element. © KIPO 2006 |
