A seedling raising sheet is constructed such that a porous sheet having open cells is affixed to one surface of a thin support band extending in a band-like configuration with its widthwise direction being an up-and-down direction, and accommodation recesses for accommodating seedling seeds are provided in the porous sheet. A transplanter for use with such seedling raising sheet comprises a transplanting stand on which said seedling raising sheet is placed; a feed mechanism for delivering said seedling raising sheet from on said transplanting stand and a planting mechanism for peeling off a porous sheet from a support band of said seedling raising sheet delivered by said feed mechanism to plant said porous sheet into the ground. |
