PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth bond magnet having a low porosity, high dimension accuracy and excellent magnetic characteristics. SOLUTION : A method of producing a rare earth bond magnet comprises the steps of mixing rare earth magnetic powders, a thermoplastic resin, and an antioxidant at a predetermined composition; granulating the mixture or regulating the particle size of the mixture; pressing the obtained particles at a first temperature at which the thermoplastic resin is in a fused state; and cooling the particles in a pressed state for a period of time until the temperature decreases to at least a second temperature which is lower than the first temperature to solidify the thermoplastic resin. It is preferable that the second temperature is the fusing point or a thermal deformation temperature of the thermoplastic resin which is used. |
