PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a fluorescent lamp which can control lighting and can change its illuminant color to a preferable color.
SOLUTION : Two or more concentric discharge paths are formed in the same plane, and a bridge is arranged to connect discharge spaces of these concentric discharge tubes. The diameter of the outer discharge tube is set in the range of 5-25 mm, and the diameter of the inner discharge tube is set in the range of 0.5-1.0 times the diameter of the outer tube. As a fluorescent material applied on each inner wall, a rare earth fluorescent material is used which is mixed so as to exhibit different color temperatures in the outer tube and the inner tube, and one other electrode is arranged at either or both ends in concentric discharge lamps on the bridge side, thus enabling the control for lighting and the change to the preferable illuminant color. |
