PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp conforming to a specification of an incandescent bulb.
SOLUTION : This compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp is provided with : an envelope equipped with a cover having a base for a bulb and a globe attached to the cover, having a nearly spherical tip side, having a diameter around 60 mm, having the cover side continued to the tip side and formed into a shape with its diameter reduced as compared with the maximum diameter of the tip side, and having translucency; a curvature-shaped fluorescent lamp having filament electrodes sealed at both ends of a bulb having a tube diameter of 6-12 mm and a tube length of 200-420 mm, having a rare gas and mercury enclosed in its inside, and housed in the envelope by arranging the spirally bent bulb in the circumferential direction of the globe at the tip of the globe; and a lighting circuit composed by mounting high-frequency inverter circuit components for lighting the fluorescent lamp on a circuit board, and housed in the envelope. Thereby, its application range to a luminaire for an incandescent bulb can be expanded. |
