简介 PURPOSE : A method is provided to fabricate safely an optical fiber or an optical device doped with a reduced metal ion and/or a rare earth ion using a modified chemical vapor deposition(MCVD), a vapor-phase axial deposition(VAD), and an outside vapor deposition(OVD).CONSTITUTION : According to the method for fabricating an optical fiber or an optical device, a partially sintered micro structure is formed on a base material for fabricating the optical fiber or the optical device. Then, a metal ion and/or rare earth ion are doped to the micro structure, by soaking the micro structure into a metal ion and/or rare earth ion doping solution including a reduction agent. The reduction agent is a kind of hydrocarbon compounds.? KIPO 2006
