PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a stainless-steel-sintered member with high corrosion resistance, which does not contain such a portion having a lowered Cr concentration in the matrix, has improved corrosion resistance, and does not need a complicated manufacturing process and a control process. SOLUTION : This manufacturing method comprises preparing a raw powder containing a 0.1 to 12 mass% rare earth element by mixing a powder of a perovskite type composite oxide consisting of a rare earth element, a transition metal element and oxygen, with a stainless steel powder or a mixed powder of a stainless steel composition; compacting the raw powder into a desired shape; and sintering it.
