Insulating elements with a resistance to temperature for meeting the demands of normative flame-resistance ratings are used for the inner and/or outer cladding of an air-conditioning and ventilating duct. The fiber composition of these insulating elements has an alkali/earth-alkali mass ratio of < 1, the fiber structure thereof is specified by a mean geometric fiber diameter ≤ 4 µm, its bulk density ranges from 20 to 120 kg/m3 and its proportion of binders, when provided in the form of a plate, ranges from 4.5 to 7 % by weight or, when provided in the form of a wire mesh mat, ranges from 0.5 to 1 % by weight. |
