PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide materials for a continuously variable transmission belt excellent in recycling properties and reducing a production process load in the production of the continuously variable transmission belt, and to provide the continuously variable transmission belt excellent in recycling properties.
SOLUTION : The continuously variable transmission belt is obtained by subjecting a martensitic steel having a composition comprising ≤0.15% C, ≤2.0% Si, ≤2.0% Mn, ≤0.060% P, ≤0.020% S, 3.0 to 10.0% Ni, 12.0 to 20.0% Cr, ≤0.10% N, ≤4.0% Mo, ≤0.70% Ti and ≤0.02% O, and, if required, comprising one or more kinds of metals selected from ≤5.0% Cu, ≤0.50% Nb, ≤2.0% Al, ≤0.015% B, ≤0.20% rare earth metals, ≤0.20% Y, ≤0.10% Ca and ≤0.10% Mg, and in which Md(N)=580-520C-2Si-16Mn-16Cr-23Ni-26Cu-300N-10Mo exceeds 100 to age nitriding treatment. |
