PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a developing roller which has simple connection with strong connection force between a plastic magnet roller and a rare earth magnet and is superior in both productivity and cost regarding an SLIC developing roller constitution.
SOLUTION : A developer carrier is composed of a developing sleeve and a magnet roller installed inside the sleeve. The developing roller visualizes a latent image by bring a magnetic brush into a sliding contact with a latent image carrier, the magnetic brush being formed by causing the developer to be napped by a developing magnetic pole of the magnet roller. At least the developing magnetic pole of the magnet roller is formed of the rare earth metal magnet. The magnet roller includes the rare earth metal magnet 1 and the plastic magnet roller 3 with a recessed part with which the rare earth metal magnet 1 is engaged through an adhesive 4. A chamfer 1a for prevention of the protrusion of the adhesive is formed on the wall surface of the recessed part of the plastic magnet roller 3 or on the the outer circumferential surface of the rare earth metal magnet 1 facing the wall surface of the recessed part. |
