PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a thermoplastic elastomer holding an excellent recycling property, having a high cross-linking density and excellent in mechanical properties, an elastomer composition and a method for obtaining them.
SOLUTION : This method for producing the thermoplastic elastomer or elastomer composition is provided by subjecting the thermoplastic elastomer containing a carbonyl-containing group and a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring at its side chain or the elastomer composition containing a metal compound and the elastomer to (1) a swelling treatment by an organic solvent exhibiting 150-2, 000 % degree of swelling of the elastomer at a room temperature, (2) a dissolution treatment by an organic solvent capable of dissolving the elastomer at a room temperature, and (3) after dissolving the elastomer with the organic solvent capable of dissolving the elastomer, a re-precipitation treatment of adding the solution to a solvent having a lower degree of swelling, or a treatment combining these, and the thermoplastic elastomer or the elastomer composition obtained by performing these treatments is provided. |
