A fluid flow control valve comprises a housing 1 having an inlet 9 and outlet 10 with a flowpath having a chamber 12 therebetween. Valve member 3 is mounted within the chamber for movement between open and a closed position in which seals 4 contact a seat to interrupt flow. The valve member is held between two opposing springs 2 and biased thereby to an open position. A conventional pressure regulating means 7 is included to allow chamber inlet pressure to be set. A re-set button 6 may open the valve and a rubber ball 57 check valve is in the outlet. A bypass passage having a needle valve 8 extends between the chamber and outlet. Used in a reservoir inlet in a barrier fluid sealing arrangement. In the event of seal failure the pressure differential across the piston overcomes the opening spring and closes the valve. |
