PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a discharge lamp which radiates the light suitable for the photodynamic therapy (PDT) and diagnosis (PDD) in the photosensitive agents used for the therapy or the diagnosis.
SOLUTION : In the discharge lamp for the photodynamic therapy, 0.1 μmo1/cm3 or more of Rb as a luminous element is sealed in for radiating the light with a wavelength range of 755 nm to 800 nm in a discharge lamp which radiates the light with a wavelength compatible with the photoabsorption wavelength of the photosensitive agent that has a relatively large photoabsorption coefficient in the wavelength range of 700 nm to 800 nm and at least one kind or more of gases selected from rare gases of Ne, Ar, Kr and Xe are sealed in. |
