PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide : a magnetic material which is improved by adding a rare earth element in magnetic permeability and which can be used with a high current in a high frequency band; and an inductor arranged by use thereof.SOLUTION : A magnetic material according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises an Fe-P-B based alloy including iron (Fe), phosphorus (P) and boron (B), and gadolinium (Gd). In the magnetic material, the content of gadolinium (Gd) is 0.05-2 at%. An inductor 100 comprises : a laminate main body 110 including a magnetic material layer including the magnetic material; a coil part 120 formed in the laminate main body and including a conductor pattern; and an external electrode 130 formed so as to be electrically connected with the coil part.
