PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a persistence phosphor that corrects the defects of a luminous body (persistence phosphor) to have yellow-red persistence and shows excellent initial brightness and persistence brightness. SOLUTION : A rare earth-activated alkaline earth silicate compound persistence phosphor contains Cl, with the Cl content of 50-10000 ppm measured by oxidative decomposition-coulometric titration.
