PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a fluorescent lamp which suppresses the risk of falling from a stem or a mount of a support member in the completed lamp. SOLUTION : The fluorescent lamp includes a phosphor layer and a mount. The phosphor layer includes : a glass tube; mercury encapsulated in the glass tube; a discharge medium including inert gas; and a mouthpiece, and is applied to an inner wall of the glass tube. The mount includes a pair of electrode members which are provided to seal both ends of the glass tube. The mount also includes a support member for preventing an electrode member diffusion substance from being deposited onto an inner surface of a phosphor near a lamp electrode while the fluorescent lamp is turned on, and supporting an enclosure provided in the direction of a shortest distance between an electrode including an Hg getter and an Hg capsule and the inner face of the lamp. The support member is an element wire and includes a crushing-processed part in a portion to be embedded in the mount. COPYRIGHT : (C)2016, JPO&INPIT
