PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a stainless steel sheet for a metal gasket capable of achieving settling resistance in a temperature range of 800°C or more, high-temperature oxidation resistance and gas leak resistance . SOLUTION : There is provided an austenitic stainless steel sheet which has a chemical composition containing, by mass%, 0.005 to 0.100% of C, 0.40 to 3.00% of Si, 0.40 to 2.50% of Mn, 22.00 to 35.00% of Ni, more than 16.00% and 23.00% or less of Cr, 0.02% or more and less than 1.00% of Mo, 0.01 to 2.00% of Cu, 0.20 to 2.50% of Ti, 0.20 to 0.60% of Al, 0.002 to 0.030% of N, if required, one or more of B, Nb, V, Zr, W, Ta, Co, REM (rare earth elements excluding Y), Y, Ca and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities.
