PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth cobalt permanent magnet having an excellent magnetic property.
SOLUTION : A rare earth cobalt permanent magnet comprises, by mass percentage, a rare earth element of 24% or more and 26% or less, Cu of 4.0% or more and 5.0% or less, Fe of 19% or more and 24% or less, and Zr of 1.8% or more and 2.7% or less with the balance consisting of Co and an inevitable impurity. The rare earth cobalt permanent magnet has a crystal phase of Th2Zn17 type structure as a main phase. The rare earth cobalt permanent magnet satisfies the following expression (1) : {(B-C)/A}×100≤2 (1), where A is an average value of the concentration ratio (Fe/Cu ratio) of Fe and Cu in the whole rare earth cobalt permanent magnet, B is a maximum of the Fe/Cu ratio in the rare earth cobalt permanent magnet, and C is a minimum thereof.
