PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an automotive exhaust gas purification catalyst particularly excellent in the purification performance of nitrogen oxide (NOx) in an exhaust gas complicated with a phosphorous compound exhausted from the internal combustion engine of a gasoline-powered vehicle or the like.SOLUTION : Provided is a phosphorous collection material in which the second group element and/or rare earth element collecting a phosphorous compound complicated in an exhaust gas is carried in an inorganic oxide with a high BET specific surface area, in which the amount of base points is 0.7 mmol/g or higher, and also provided is an exhaust gas purification catalyst or the like particularly purifying nitrogen oxide (NOx) in an automotive exhaust gas complicated with a phosphorous compound including the same.
