PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing a rare earth magnet, the method enabling the rare earth magnet to secure anisotropy without being applied with hot severe plastic deformation.SOLUTION : The method for manufacturing a rare earth magnet is provided, including the steps of : preparing an Fe-B based soft magnetic material having a unidirectionally solidified nanocrystalline structure; preparing an infiltration material containing an alloy of a rare earth element and a metal element other than the rare earth element; obtaining a contact body by bringing the Fe-B based soft magnetic material and the infiltration material with each other; and performing heat treatment of the contact body in the inert gas atmosphere and infiltrating the infiltration material into the Fe-B based soft magnetic material.SELECTED DRAWING : Figure 4COPYRIGHT : (C)2018, JPO&INPIT
