PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an oxide superconductor conducting element low in contact surface resistivity, in which lead-free solder containing no lead is used, and a method for manufacturing the oxide superconductor conducting element.SOLUTION : In a method for manufacturing an oxide superconductor conducting element, a silver coating with a thickness of 3 μm or more and 10 μm or less is formed on a surface of an oxide superconductor where a REBaCuOphase is finely dispersed in a single crystal REBaCuOphase (RE represents one or two or more elements selected from Y or a rare earth element, and x represents an amount of oxygen, satisfying 6.8≤x≤7.1), and then, at both ends of the oxide superconductor having the silver coating formed thereon, an electrode terminal formed of an electrically good conductor and the oxide superconductor are soldered using a lead-free solder to be electrically connected.
