PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a vacuum heat insulation material which, within a vacuum chamber of a vacuum heat insulation material, allows reduction of the amount of hydrogen gas which would cause deterioration of a heat insulation property, and allows reduction of usage of rare metal used for removing hydrogen, and a heat insulation device using the vacuum heat insulation material. SOLUTION : A vacuum heat insulation material is formed with an external capsule material, and includes a vacuum chamber in which vacuum is kept, and a hydrogen oxidation catalyst and moisture adsorbent provided within the vacuum chamber.
