The present invention provides a manufacturing method of a high performance rare earth magnet. The method comprises the steps of : preparing a sintered body of a rare earth magnet containing R, Fe, and B as components; aging heavy rare earth fluoride and heavy rare earth hydride in an organic solvent; performing wet-coating a surface of the sintered body with the aged heavy rare earth fluoride and heavy rare earth hydride; and performing heat treatment on the coating material to perform grain boundary diffusion on the coating material.
