Provided are an adhesive composition for wood having excellent water resistance, heat resistance, and durability that solves the problems of conventional water-based polymer-isocyanate-based adhesive compositions for wood, and wood products having excellent water resistance, heat resistance, and durability bonded by the adhesive composition for wood. The water-based adhesive composition for wood includes a filler (component A), aqueous polymer (component B), isocyanate compound (component C), and water (component D), wherein the filler (component A) is a hydraulic cement and the aqueous polymer (component B) is at least one substance selected from the group consisting of an acrylic resin emulsion, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) resin emulsion, ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) resin emulsion, and redispersible emulsion powders of these.
