Particle contains at least one superparamagnetic portion and at least one thermoluminescent portion. Superparamagnetic portion contains one or more super-magnetic materials selected from iron oxide, metallic Fe, metallic Co, metallic Ni and their alloys. Thermoluminescent portion contains a ceramic material alloyed with one or more ions selected from transition metal ions and rare-earth ions.
