PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a sugar incorporation promoter of cells, particularly muscular (skeletal muscular) cells; a hyperglycemia improving agent or a preventive or therapeutic agent for diabetes or diabetic complication containing the sugar incorporation promoter; a composition for food and drinks containing the sugar incorporation promoter; or a food and drink containing the composition for food and drinks.SOLUTION : A sugar incorporation promoter comprises a compound represented by general formula (1), (in the formula, R, R, and Rare independently a hydrogen or alkyl of C; Ris Calkyl, Ccycloalkyl, Caryl, Caryl Calkyl, 5 to 10-membered unsaturated heterocycle or ferrocenyl; and Caryl, Caryl Calkyl and 5 to 10-membered unsaturated heterocycle have independently at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of a halogen, hydroxy, nitro, and Calkoxy), or glycoside thereof.
