PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an organic light-emitting diode in which voltage control, external quantum efficiency, and/or time lapse voltage rise was improved. SOLUTION : In an organic light-emitting diode including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, at least one luminous layer, and at least one organic semiconductor layer, the at least one luminous layer and at least one organic semiconductor layer are constituted between the positive electrode and negative electrode, the at least one organic semiconductor layer contains a substantially metal rare-earth metal dopant, and a first substrate compound, and the first substrate compound contains at least two phenanthrolinyl group.
