PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a polymer having high conductivity and usable as a solid electrolyte for a secondary battery, and a monomer as a raw material of the polymer.SOLUTION : There are provided an oxetane compound represented by the formula (1) and a solid electrolyte containing a polymer obtained by polymerizing the compound. (1), where Ris a C1 to 6 alkyl group, Ris a C1 to 4 alkylene group, Rto Rare each independently H, a C1 to 10 alkyl group or a group having a nitrile group in a terminal represented by the formula (2), where Ris a C1 to 10 alkylene group which may contain one or more group selected from ether (-O-), sulfide (-S-) and amine (-NH-) and wavy line is a covalent bond to a carbon atom, provided that at least one of Rto Ris a group having a nitrile group in the terminal represented by the formula (2).
