PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a composite material for fuel cell capable of enhancing the power generation performance of a fuel cell, by preventing degradation in the ion conduction performance of a solid electrolyte layer when calcining electrolyte-anode laminate simultaneously.
SOLUTION : In a composite material 1 for fuel cell composed to include a solid electrolyte layer 3 and an anode layer 2 laminated thereon, the solid electrolyte layer is composed of at least one of barium (Ba) and strontium (Sr), and an ion conductor where some of tetravalent cations of B site are replaced by trivalent rare earth elements, the anode layer is composed to contain an electrolytic component of the same composition as the solid electrolyte layer, and a nickel (Ni) catalyst, and an additive composed of a rare earth element is contained in at least the boundary part to the solid electrolyte layer.
