A new thing in the elevator is that the connection between the elevator car and the control station is provided with the radio channel of duplex radio communication. The elevator car electrical devices power supply is provided with the accumulator battery (15). The position of the elevator car is continuously monitored by a laser ruler (14). The car is stopped on the floor by magnetic means, without wear of mechanical parts.
