PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To activate a game or an event in a game. SOLUTION : A control method of a server device (1) providing a game includes achieving in the control method of the server device providing a game, the steps of storing an activity condition of a user in a game or an event in a game, determining the stored activity condition of the user, selectively setting a lottery object to the user, on the basis of the outcome of determination, as a plurality of groups having different numbers of rewards corresponding to each rarity level, making setting information for displaying the set lottery object in a terminal device of the user, and storing a reward corresponding to the selected lottery object in association with the user in accordance with the selection operation of the lottery object by the user. When it is determined in the determining step that the activity condition satisfies a first prescribed condition, at least one of the number of rewards, and a rarity level is changed so as to set a lottery object in the setting step.
