PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a heat-resistant rare earth-iron-nitrogen based anisotropic magnetic powder having good magnetic characteristics, and to provide a production method therefor.
SOLUTION : A production method of anisotropic magnetic powder includes a step of obtaining a precipitate containing R and iron and lantern, from a solution containing the R (R is at least one kind selected from a group consisting of Sc, Y, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm and Lu) and iron and lantern, and then obtaining an oxide containing the R and iron and lantern from the precipitate, a step of obtaining a partial oxide by treating the oxide with a reducing gas, a step of obtaining alloy particles by performing reduction diffusion of the partial oxide at a temperature in the range of 920°C-1200°C, and a step of obtaining anisotropic magnetic powder by nitriding the alloy particles.
