PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of a polymer catalyst composition high in catalyst activity during polymerization and capable of enhancing the terminal modification rate of a polymer.
SOLUTION : There is provided a manufacturing method of a polymer catalyst composition including a process (a) of reacting only a rare earth element compound represented by the following general formula (a-1) : M-(AQ1)(AQ2)(AQ3), where M is scandium, yttrium or lanthanoid element, AQ1, AQ2 and AQ3 are functional groups which may be the same or different, A is nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur and has at least one M-A bond, ((A) component), at least one compound selected from a group consisting of substituted or unsubstituted cyclopentadiene, substituted or unsubstituted indene and substituted or unsubstituted fluorene ((B) component) and an organic metal compound represented by the general formula (c-1) ((C) component) to obtain a reaction mixture.
