PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide : a curable composition that is excellent in solvent solubility while retaining a high refractive index; and an optical component and a compound that use the curable composition.SOLUTION : A curable composition contains a compound represented by the general formula (1) in the figure, and at least one selected from thermal radical polymerization initiators and optical radical polymerization initiators.
