A superconductor is formed by a process which includes a first step of performing a thermal process on a superconductor precursor including rare earth, barium, and copper to form liquefied rare earth-barium-copper oxide, a second step of forming a first superconductor of the epitaxially grown rare earth-barium-copper oxide from the liquefied rare earth-barium-copper oxide, a third step of performing a thermal process on the first superconductor to form a second superconductor of the rare earth-barium-copper oxide. The thermal process of the third step is performed in an atmosphere where the rare earth-barium-copper oxide is not in a liquid state. So, the superconductor including pinning centers can be provided.
