POLARIZING PLATE WITH OPTICAL COMPENSATION LAYER AND ORGANIC EL PANEL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a polarizing plate with an optical compensation layer capable of realizing excellent reflective hue and visual field angle characteristics while having excellent mechanical strength. SOLUTION : A polarizing plate 100 with an optical compensation layer used for an organic EL panel includes a polarizer 10, an optical anisotropy layer 20, a first optical compensation layer 30, and a second optical compensation layer 40, in this order. The optical anisotropy layer 20 exhibits a refractive index characteristic of nx≥ny>nz, with Re(550) of 0 to 20 nm and Rth(550) of 5 to 100 nm. The first optical compensation layer 30 exhibits a refractive index characteristic of nx>ny≥nz, and satisfies a relation of Re(450)nx≥ny. A laminate of the first optical compensation layer 30 and the second optical compensation layer 40 has Re(550) of 120 nm to 160 nm, Rth(550) of -50 nm to 80 nm.
