PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a ferritic stainless steel material excellent in vibration damping property.
SOLUTION : There is provided a vibration-damping ferritic stainless steel material having a chemical composition, by mass%, of C : 0.001 to 0.03%, Si : 0.1 to 1.0%, Mn : 0.1 to 2.0%, Ni : 0.01 to 0.6%, Cr : 10.5 to 24.0%, N : 0.001 to 0.03%, Nb : 0 to 0.8%, Ti : 0 to 0.5%, Cu : 0 to 2.0%, Mo : 0 to 2.5%, V : 0 to 1.0%, Al : 0 to 0.3%, Zr : 0 to 0.3%, Co : 0 to 0.6%, REM (rare earth element) : 0 to 0.1%, Ca : 0 to 0.1% and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, a metallic structure with a matrix which is a ferrite single phase and average crystal particle diameter of a ferrite crystal particle of 0.3 to 3.0 mm and residual magnetic flux density of 45 mT or less.
