PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a color treatment giving good finger combing properties, imparting setting properties and gloss to the hair, and allowing color development and color retention of the hair.SOLUTION : A color treatment comprises (a) 0.5 to 4 mass% of a quaternary ammonium salt type cationic surfactant, (b) 0.5 to 10 mass% of a polyalkylene glycol derivative represented by the formula (I) : R-(CHCHCHCHO)-R(In the formula, Rand Rare each independently a hydrogen atom or a fatty acid residue having a carbon number of 12 to 20, the ratio of the fatty acid residue having a carbon number of 12 to 20 in Rand Ris 0.55 to 0.95. n is an addition mole number of an oxytetramethylene group, and 3≤n≤30), (c) 1 to 20 mass% of a dihydric alcohol having a carbon number of 3 to 6 and (d) 0.3 to 1.5 mass% of one kind or two or more kinds of dyes selected from HC dyes and basic dyes.
