PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a projection display capable of reducing a load on a motion interpolation image processing circuit and easily realizing the motion interpolation image processing circuit.
SOLUTION : A resolution converter circuit 500 converts a predetermined resolution of an input video signal into a resolution of a base image signal. A resampling circuit 510 resamples the base image signal output from the resolution converter circuit, thereby creating four sub-frame image signals. The sub-frame image signals are input to motion interpolation image processing circuits A520a to D520d. A pixel shift controller 420 inputs four motion interpolation sub-frame image signals input from the motion interpolation image processing circuits to a DMD drive unit 410 to drive DMDs 530 to output the four motion interpolation sub-frame image signals at a rate four times as high as an input frame rate, drives an actuator of a pixel shift device 430 synchronously with the DMD drive unit to control the actuator to move pixel projection positions.
